How to setup review collections with Trustify Product Reviews app

What is “Review collections”?
A Review Collection is a curated group of reviews sourced from specific products or individual reviews. It allows you to organize and display reviews flexibly across your store.

When should you use a Review Collection?
Use a Review Collection when:
– You want to display different sets of reviews on different pages.
– You want each carousel layout to show reviews from a specific product or source.
For example, your homepage carousel can display reviews for Product A, while the product detail page for Product B shows only reviews for that product.

How it works
– Each Review Collection you create in Trustify is assigned a unique Collection ID.
– You can then embed the carousel layout anywhere in your Shopify store and assign the appropriate Collection ID for that page.

This setup lets you fully customize the review content shown on each page.

Step 1- Create a review collection

  • In the Trustify app admin, navigate to the Review Manager page > Click on the Review Collection tab at the top > Click “Create New Collection” to begin selecting specific reviews or products you want to include.
  • Click the “Add New Collection” button > Set up the collection by selecting the specific reviews or products you want to include > Customize the collection name and settings as needed.
  • Once your collection is created, you’ll receive a unique Collection ID.
    You’ll use this ID to display the correct reviews in the carousel layout on your store.

Step 2- Add the Carousel Layout with Review Collection Source ID

  • Open the Shopify Theme Editor.
  • Add the Trustify Carousel section to the page where you want reviews to appear.
  • In the carousel settings, find the field labeled “Choose Collection”.
  • Paste the Review Collection ID you created in Step 1 into this field.
  • Click “Save” to complete the setup.
